Cuckoo Shake Recipe with Salba

Salba® is the richest whole food source of Omega 3 fatty acids and fibre found in nature. Every serving (12 grams or approximately 2 flat tablespoons) of Salba® provides over 2,400 mg of Omega 3s, over 4,500 mg of dietary fibre, with less than 0.5 net carbohydrates per serving. Gram for gram, Salba® provides six times more calcium than whole milk, three times more iron than spinach, and fifteen times more magnesium than broccoli. Salba® is all-natural, has no trans-fats, is gluten free, has almost no carbohydrates, and is certified Non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organism).


you can use any blender but we used the Cuckoo. It’s a fantastic little blender and recommend one in every household!
1/4 cup of yogart, any flavour, we used vanilla
1/4 cup of water
1/4” cup of frozen mango
1/4” cup of frozen blueberries
1/2 a banana
1 tablespoon Salba
blend, drink fairly quickly because the Salba seeds go gooey and become too thick to drink and a spoon will be needed!
you will have more energy then you know what to do with!

Favourite recipe this week!
You will need
1 pack of bacon (optional)
1 big onion
1 bunch of spinach
5 cloves of garlic
10 white potatoes medium size
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups of water
salt and pepper

peel the potatoes and boil them in water until they are cooked. add a pinch of salt.
in a frying pan fry half a pack of bacon…well so they’re crispy, these will get crush and sprinkled on the top of your soup! put them to one side and drain off the fat.
dice the onion and garlic up and in the bacon fat (this is optional, oil or butter work just as well) cook them until squishy, not too golden.
add them to the boiled potatoes
then in the frying pan quickly cook the spinach, so it’s lost it’s crunch but not too too sloppy.
add that to the pot with the potatoes and onions and garlic.
then add the 1/2 cup of milk and the 2 cup of water and mix with a hand blender or a normal blender until pureed. 
put the pot back on the stove and cook until it’s bubbling!
serve and add the crumbled bacon bits!
